Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

Protecting your personal information is important to Nathalie Maréchal. This policy explains how personal information may be collected, used, disclosed, and retained when you visit the site https://nathaliemarechal.com, communicate with Nathalie Maréchal, or complete an advertising form directly on Facebook or Instagram.

1. Personal Information Collected

We may collect personal information when you fill out a form, request information, get in touch regarding a property, or communicate directly with Nathalie Maréchal.

Depending on your request and the communication method used, this information may include:

  • your first and last name;
  • your email address;
  • your phone number;
  • the content of your message;
  • your interest in a property, area, or real estate service;
  • any other information you choose to provide voluntarily.

Certain forms may also ask for the type of property you are considering selling and the intended timeframe for the sale. This information is not requested systematically: it depends on the form used.

The site may also collect technical data related to your browsing, such as IP address, type of device used, browser, pages viewed, duration of visit, and interactions with the site.

2. Use of Personal Information

Personal information is used for the purposes indicated at the time of collection, specifically related to real estate services and site management:

  • responding to your requests for information;
  • communicating with you regarding a property, an evaluation, or a real estate project;
  • scheduling an appointment or agreed-upon follow-up;
  • sending you the requested real estate information;
  • improving the user experience on the site;
  • measuring the performance of the site and its content, subject to the requirements applicable to the tools used;
  • ensuring the security, proper functioning, and administration of the site.

Promotional communications and the newsletter are separate from responses to a real estate request. They are described in Section 5.2.

No personal information is sold to third parties.

3. Consent and Contact Requests

When you submit information to request details or discuss a real estate project, this information is used to respond to that request and to organize agreed-upon follow-ups or appointments. The purposes of their use must be clearly presented at the time of collection.

Simply visiting the site or providing contact details does not constitute general authorization for all uses described in this policy. Use for another purpose requires separate consent when required by law.

Sending a contact form, including a Facebook or Instagram instant form, does not constitute automatic subscription to the newsletter and does not, by itself, authorize other promotional uses.

You may withdraw your consent to certain uses by contacting Nathalie Maréchal using the contact details provided in Section 10. Withdrawal may limit follow-ups or services that require this information, without removing applicable legal or professional retention obligations.

4. Facebook and Instagram Ads and Forms

Nathalie Maréchal may run ads on Facebook and Instagram that allow for the submission of a contact request via a Meta instant form, directly within these platforms.

Forms intended for owners considering selling may ask for your first name, last name, email address, and phone number. Depending on the form used, they may also ask for the type of property to be sold and the intended timeframe for the sale.

When you submit the form, the information you provide is collected through Meta and made available to Nathalie Maréchal. It is used to respond to your request, discuss your real estate project, and organize agreed-upon follow-ups or appointments.

For the processing of your request by Nathalie Maréchal, access to information must be limited to authorized persons and mandated service providers who need it to perform their duties. Their access and use must correspond to the role assigned to them.

Meta also processes information according to its own terms and privacy policy. Its processing is therefore not necessarily limited to Nathalie Maréchal’s instructions. To learn about Meta’s practices and the choices offered on its platforms, consult the Meta Privacy Policy.

Sending this form does not automatically subscribe you to the newsletter.

5. Cookies, Digital Tools, and Communications

The site may use cookies and similar technologies to ensure its operation, analyze its traffic, and measure the effectiveness of digital communications.

Depending on the tools used, this may include:

  • Google Analytics, to measure traffic, pages viewed, duration of visits, traffic sources, and general interactions with the site;
  • Meta Pixel, to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and enable advertising audience functions or content presentation on Facebook and Instagram;
  • form and request management tools;
  • a newsletter tool, to manage subscriptions, mailings, and unsubscribes.

These tools may process technical or browsing data, including IP address, device type, browser, pages viewed, interactions with the site, and the source of the visit.

Cookies and analysis, advertising, or profiling technologies are subject to applicable consent requirements. You can manage your preferences using the options offered on the site or your browser settings. Details can be found in the Cookie Policy.

5.1. Contact Forms and Request Management

Information submitted via a form on the site is used to respond to your request, ensure agreed-upon follow-up, schedule a meeting, or assist you with your real estate project.

Depending on the tools used to process the request, this information may be organized in a Customer Relationship Management system, also known as a CRM. This possibility does not mean that an automatic transfer to a CRM is performed for every form, particularly for Meta instant forms.

5.2. Newsletter and Electronic Communications

If you subscribe to the newsletter or separately consent to receive promotional communications, your name and email address may be used to send you news, real estate advice, market information, updates, properties, or relevant content.

A contact request regarding a real estate project remains separate from this subscription. Information submitted must not be automatically added to a newsletter list solely by virtue of sending a form.

You can unsubscribe by using the link provided in the communications received or by contacting Nathalie Maréchal directly.

Commercial electronic communications in Canada are subject to the applicable rules of Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), particularly regarding consent, sender identification, and unsubscribe mechanisms.

6. Disclosure to Third Parties and Providers

Your personal information may be disclosed to providers or partners when necessary for the stated purposes and permitted by law, with your consent where required.

Depending on the service concerned, this may include:

  • web hosting providers;
  • form, request, or email management tools;
  • the provider of a CRM or newsletter tool, when these tools are used;
  • web analysis services or advertising platforms;
  • professional partners involved in a real estate transaction, when necessary and with appropriate authorizations.

Providers who process information on behalf of Nathalie Maréchal must limit their processing to the functions assigned to them and comply with applicable obligations. This requirement does not mean that specific contractual restrictions have been verified for each of the tools mentioned in this policy.

Platforms like Meta and other providers may also perform certain processing according to their own terms and privacy policies. A distinction should be made between this processing and that carried out by a provider solely on behalf of Nathalie Maréchal.

6.1. Processing Outside Quebec

The use of platforms and technology providers may result in the disclosure, processing, or retention of personal information outside of Quebec or Canada.

The law provides for specific obligations before certain disclosures outside Quebec or before entrusting a third party located outside Quebec with the collection, use, disclosure, or retention of information on its behalf. These obligations may include a privacy impact assessment and a written framework for the processing.

This policy describes these obligations; it does not constitute a certification that every assessment or measure has been completed for every platform or provider.

7. Retention of Information

Personal information is retained for the duration necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, subject to retention periods required or permitted by law and applicable professional obligations.

When these purposes are fulfilled and no obligation justifies their retention, the information must be destroyed or anonymized in accordance with applicable requirements.

Withdrawal of consent or a request for deletion does not necessarily result in the immediate deletion of all information, particularly when legal or professional obligations require its retention.

8. Security of Information

Protecting personal information requires measures adapted to its sensitivity, the purposes of its use, its quantity, and its distribution, in order to reduce the risks of loss, theft, unauthorized access, misuse, unauthorized disclosure, or modification.

Depending on the circumstances, appropriate measures may include:

  • limiting access to persons who need the information to perform their duties;
  • protecting the accounts and tools used;
  • overseeing providers and the access they hold;
  • updating systems and their components;
  • internal management, retention, and destruction practices for information.

These examples describe measures to be evaluated according to the context and do not constitute a certified inventory of the technical devices deployed. No data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be entirely secure.

9. Your Rights and Recourse

In accordance with applicable laws, you may request:

  • access to the personal information held about you;
  • rectification of inaccurate, incomplete, or ambiguous information, or information whose collection, disclosure, or retention is not authorized by law;
  • withdrawal of your consent to certain uses;
  • details on the use, retention, or disclosure of your personal information.

When the conditions provided by law are met, you may also request the communication of computerized personal information collected from you in a structured and commonly used technological format. This right to portability includes conditions and exceptions; it does not apply automatically to all information, particularly to that obtained from a third party or created or inferred.

Address your request to the contact point indicated in Section 10. Verification of your identity may be necessary to protect the confidentiality of the information. Requests are processed according to the conditions, timeframes, and exceptions provided by law.

If you are dissatisfied with the response to a request for access or rectification, or if you have concerns regarding the processing of your personal information, you may consult the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec to learn about the applicable recourse or complaint mechanisms.

In the event of an incident involving personal information, necessary measures must be taken to limit risks and evaluate the situation. When required by law, the affected individuals and competent authorities must be notified.

12. Links to External Sites

The site may contain links to real estate platforms, social networks, or other third-party sites and tools. These third parties apply their own privacy practices, which Nathalie Maréchal does not control. We invite you to consult their respective policies.

This distinction does not remove the obligations applicable to the information that Nathalie Maréchal collects, uses, holds, or discloses as part of her activities.
